It is the goal of every knife maker to produce a product unique to his or her design intention. Whether that intention is to create an art piece or a strictly functional cutting instrument, the idea is the same: create something which conveys the maker's vision of what the tool is intended to do.
When I began making knives, my intention was to bring a handmade product to the table that would be considered by serious knife users. Whether it be a lighter blade for preparing food for the table or for hunters and fishermen who need a heavier blade for field dressing game and multi-tasking for a variety of uses, the goal has been the same: make a tool, that when picked up will not only fulfill the need of the task, but will feel friendly in the hand.
My mission statement is simple: To produce a cutting instrument made from the finest materials that, when pulled from the sheath, is like shaking hands with an old friend. And, like an old friend, it will not fail when the chore gets tough. Quite simply, it will be the balance of form and function.
